Fabulous fifty!

Greg Callaghan is one of LPS’s most loyal members. He recently ran the Freckleton Half Marathon, both he and the race celebrating their 50th year. A record field charged around the lanes of the Fylde coast in conditions that were far from ideal. The men`s race was won by Ben Fish for a record sixth time. Greg was competing on several levels, club, North West and National Civil Service Championships. He came home 18th in an excellent 1.22.34 picking up 2nd in the NW Champs and 1st Vet in the national race. He is also half way through the Chorley Park 4 mile series where he is leading the O50 vets category with two races to go. He is proving the old adage that regular racing can do you a lot of good!
