Paul Cadwallader wins Waterloo 15k (7-5-01)
Making a welcome return to racing Paul Cadwallader
beat a large field in the spring sunshine to win for the
second time the Waterloo 15k. Paul last won this event in 1997 and succeeds
Nathan who won the event last year. Organisers had course changes forced
on them but still managed to provide an interesting and testing course.
John Kilbane back racing after his non show at the National 12 stage was
13th with Jeff Mason close behind in 14th spot. A good turn out by LPS
athletes and nice to see former Sefton Harriers Secretary Colin McCallum

| B Team suffer at
Stockport (5-5-01) Proving how difficult it
can be for the captain of the B team Paul Rudkin lost a number of his
first choice athletes at the last minute to the A Team and this effected
the overall performance on the day. No b string in 100, 200, 400, H/J
& T/J and no A & B at all in the pole vault! Paul will I am sure
rally his troops for the coming fixtures and we hope to see him back to
winning ways. keep up the good work Paul.
