Bernie`s season begins 27 September
Bernie Murphy got his autumn programme off to a fine start with a 1.17.34 in 12th spot in the Swinton Half Marathon. He plans also to run in the Abingdon Marathon in a few weeks time.

UK Schools Games 5 September
Representing the North West in the UK Schools Games in Cardiff Billy Williams leapt a respectable 1.85m to collect fifth spot in the high jump. The end of a satisfactory season for the Liverpool Pembroke Sefton athlete who has already achieved his 1.90m goal. Michael Carmona-Jones was out of the action in the discus with 39.07m but Adam Thomson was a member of the North West 4 x 400m squad that collected 6th spot in a decent 3.25.13.
The track and field season for most of the club's youngsters came to a modest end at Litherland with the Southport Waterloo Open Meeting. The club's high jumpers were again prominent Amelia Jennings-McLaughlin at Under 13 and Zoe Rafferty at Under 15 easily winning their event with 1.45m and 1.35m respectively. Under 17 Kevin Jones was on his own with a Javelin pitch of 35.27m and Aimee Hall tied in the U17 100m at 13.00 plus a runner up spot of 27.7 for the 200m. Of the other second placers Joel Hutchinson will be pleased with his U15 200m(25.00) and 400m(55.8) and likewise Tawanda Lungu with her 13.0 100m.
