1.      Statement of Intent

To deliver to the athletes a safely planned and organised series three 5k-road races that meet all the standards of safety applied to all public events in the City of Liverpool. The Races in Croxteth Park is not subject to a Licence but the Event Organiser with the assistance of Liverpool City Council Croxteth Park Staff undertake to plan and manage the event, along with any recommendations of the Croxteth Park Event Manager, as if a licence were in place. 

It is the responsibility of the Event Organiser to ensure an ongoing assessment takes place throughout the build up, duration and deconstruction of the event. Any escalation in the severity of a hazard or the discovery of a new hazard must be reported to the Event Manager or Security Staff at Croxteth Hall. 

The purposes of the event are:

a.       To use Croxteth Park to stage the Croxteth Park 5k Series.

b.       To promote and encourage athletics.

 Walk the course and check for hazards Party: Robbie Wood and Steve Broadfoot (Course Measurer and local Road Race advisor)

                                                17:00               Arrive at St. Mary’s Church Hall                       Commence laying out course checking hazards again in the process           

                                                                  Take any on the day entries at St Mary’s Church Hall.

                                                19.00              Race Marshals in Position

                                                19.15              Start of race. 

                                                                        Presentations as soon as possible after the event at the finish area.

                                                20.00              Last competitor should have finished.

                                                20.30              Marshalling material removed. Park clear
