Born and raised in West Derby Chris joined Sefton in 1952 after his national service, he was to remain with the club for over a decade and was club captain during the mid 1950s. I had the privilege of meeting Chris at his home on Queens Dive in 2018 and was enthralled by his memory of the runners in that post was area.
