Jumps & Throws at Wavertree

The traditional end of season jumps & throws meeting took place at Wavertree on Saturday with nine LPS youngsters taking part and the high jumpers maintaining their dominance of the event.

Scarlet Whitfield added to her gold medal from last week by winning the U13G high jump with a leap of 1.30m, whilst Emma Ward & Nina Smalley
tied for silver with 1.20m. This was Nina’s second silver in a week.

At U15 level, Sadie McNulty, won gold clearing the bar at 1.40m. In the long jump, Erin Birchall (U15G) & Evelyn Smalley (U17W)both
finished 4th

The boys too achieved a number of medals with Matt Ingram (U17) winning gold in both triple(12.37m)& long jump(5.72m), just beating Rob Ward
(5.68m) who set a PB in taking silver. Dominic O’Hanlon also took silver in the U20 long event event.
