Michael Rimmer was at the Samsung Diamond League match at Doha and up against some classy 800m athletes. World record holder, David Rudisha (Kenya) stamped his authority on the race with 1.43.10 but immediately behind there was a mad scramble for places involving six runners. Michael finished 6th in 1.44.86 with colleague Andrew Osagie marginally ahead in third spot on 1.44.64. These two are GB`s most likely 800m representatives at the London Olympics.
