There was a double family celebration in the Foster household as a result of the 2017 Lakrland Trail Series of races.
Fourteen year old, Fletcher, a pupil at The Ormskirk school, was clear winner of the 5K races with victory at 3 of the 4 races held at Cartmel, Stavely, Keswick & Helvelwyn. Dad, Andrew sealed victory in the 10K series with a fourth place finish in the final race at Helvellyn. This followed his second place finish in the previous race at Ullswater.
All races are run over challenging terrain with plenty of hills to climb. These races are a great way for novices to get involved in the sport of fell running. As the organisers advertise, they are ‘Inspiring races in beautiful places’
