A small number of our athletes attended the 2020’s first Northern Indoor Championships at Sheffield on the 11th/12th January. Highlights of those that attended are as follows;
Elliot Jones reached the semi final of the senior men 60m
Grace Mitchell had a PB with 8.78 in the U17 women’s 60m
Callum Garvey reached the semi final of the U20 men’s 200m and achieved an indoor PB of 23.92 on the way
Billy Matthews and Danny Higham both reached the 400m semi final of the senior men 400m with Billy getting a new PB of 49.9
Tony O’Brien came fourth in the senior men 3000m
Lee Doyle was ninth in the senior men shot put
We had two medalist’s
Owen southern was second place in the U20 men high jump with 1.95m
Jamie Hopkins picked his second medal in two weeks with a 13.07m PB in the U20 men triple jump
The Northern Indoor U13/U15 Championships are on the 2nd of February and the closing date for entry is 20th January…….dont miss out get your entry in.
