English Schools Cross Country Championships

The cross country season finished for our athletes on Saturday with 5 from the club representing their counties in the English Schools Cross Country Championships at Hop Farm, Kent,

Erin Frost representing Merseyside schools in the inter girls race finished in a credible 16:08, where the winner Jess Bailey was also victorious at the Nationals at Parliament Hill.

Sarah Yates in the junior girls representing Lancashire Schools(light blue vest 259) also having a steady run in 14:33, despite a number of athletes falling in front of her at the start

Myles Fraser, also representing Lancashire schools (vest 254) had a particularly strong run finishing 26th overall.

Se Loughlin and Jake Dickinson finished off our quintet of county athletes, both representing Lancashire schools in the Senior race.  Both scored points for Lancashire helping the county finish in 5th place with Se (vest 255) in 35th position overall in 24:40 and Jake (vest 259)

in 164th at 26:28.  The first finishers of the race also in the top positions in the intercounties at Loughborough.
