The two Liverpool Pembroke Sefton star female road runners had an enjoyable weekend. Kirsty Longley, back from a Mediterranean cruise, was in the massively popular Liverpool 10K Tunnel Race. Although not having quite shaken off holiday relaxations she powered to third in the Women`s category with a highly satisfying 37.20. Meanwhile Lisa Gawthorne, on her way back after injury, was at the rather more low key Southport Fun Fest 5K. Here she easily took first spot with 21.04. The summer holds out even more enticing prospects for this likeable pairing.
