The Birchwood 10k which regularly attracts a 1000 plus PB chasing starters to this fast course and so it was on Sunday 21st. LPS queen of the road Kirsty Longley (V40) cruised a to a comfortable win finishing 25th overall in 36.52. 6 seconds clear of St Helen’s Gemma Connolly 36.58 and third place Sara Murphy of Vale Royal 37.52.
Warrington Open Meeting – Sunday 21st
Fresh from their recent Northern and Inter County competitions, five members of the LPS Jump Squad, Scarlet Whitfield, Niamh Edmunds, Imogen Ayres, Sadie McNulty,Alice Prescott headed to the Annual Open meeting.
Alice Prescot competed well for a 2nd place in the U/17 Long Jump (4m.52) and clocked 44.86 in the 300 metres.
Sadie McNulty continued her good form in the U/15 high Jump with a 1m.45 for 1st place.
