Condolences

Liverpool Pembroke & Sefton are sad to announce the passing of two former members who died during December.

Geoff Warriner was a member of the very successful Pembroke road and cross team of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Geoff was Liverpool & District cross country champion in 1961 and 1962. He was active club member for many years and will be fondly remembered by those old enough to have been involved in local athletics at the time.

Colin Barry was an active member of Sefton Harriers in the 1980s he was particularly fond of cross country. He did a degree in agriculture and worked abroad shortly after graduation. He returned to Liverpool and ran the city farm in Walton for many years. Although he never got his running going again after his return from abroad he remained friends with the club and often joined us on social events.

We offer our condolences to their friends and family.
