I hope everyone is keeping well and observing the government advice during these unprecedented times.
There is no organised group training or competition taking place at the moment and it’s anyone’s guess when this will resume again, however we do have a few things to update you on.
Karen got the latest batch of membership cards done last week and has posted them out for our younger members with a short note saying that we hope they and their families are well and that we look forward to seeing them back at training when circumstances allow.
England Athletics registration for the year opened today and we will get everyone reregistered in the coming weeks.
Dave Brown had a message from Alan Johnson confirming that the first two matches of the Northern League are definitely cancelled (that includes the one we were hosting) and that it looks unlikely that there will be any matches this season. We haven’t heard anything from the Mid Lancs other than the info on the website which says the Blackpool and Hyndburn matches are cancelled. I suspect there will be more cancellations to come.
Thank you to the coaches who are keeping in contact with their athletes during this difficult period. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again when this is all over but until then take care and stay safe.
