LPS on the Trail and Road

The road and trail race season is gathering pace with events seemingly happening every week. This week, the two that LPS members mostly attended were the Mawdesley 10k trail and the Knutsford 10K.

Co Cross Country Captain Andrew Foster came home 4th on the day and 1st in his age group with a time 39:43 with Tom Mattack following him home in 12th place 41:36.

John Dickinson our other Co Cross Country Captain made it home in 42:59 putting him in 3rd place M50 and 17th overall. Neil Roberts in 6th M50 position finished in 49:07 .

Sharon Roberts and Tracy Berry were our sole female runners on the day, with Sharon achieving 6th in the F50 category.

Over at the Knutsford 10K Kirsty Longley started the season with an age category win as she came 3rd female overall in 35:43. Paul Milburn finished in the time which gave him 15th V35 position. Chris Melling finished in 37:04 with Joanna Durkin in 12th V40 in 41:04.
