|Rimmer records another age record!
Michael Rimmer lowered the UK 15 age record once again last night at the Trafford open meeting. His time of 1.52.6 lowers his own UK record set at Trafford last month. This adds to Michael’s UK age best for a fourteen year old. What a talent!

|LPS 3rd at Wavertree
In what always looked a tough fixture on paper LPS failed to qualify for the final of the Northern knock-out cup after putting up a good performance at Wavertree. Trafford just edged out Liverpool Harriers by 116 to 115 with LPS 3rd with 94 points. Another fine win for Nathan in the 10,000 he seems to being winning everything at present. A pb for Michael Ziam in the 200 and second places for Mark Lyon in the high jump and Dave Street in the triple jump.

|Rimmer gets the Call.
(29-6-01)The Norwich Union Great Britain and Northern Ireland Team has been announced for the World Youth Championships in Debrecen, Hungary on 12-15 July 2001. Included in the team as the youngest member is Michael Rimmer who is having a wonderful season with yet another UK age best earlier this month. At 15 Michael will be taking on the world’s best under 18s so the competition should server him well in terms of experience. It is hoped that we will have reports from Hungary on these pages as the competition progress so watch this space and best wishes to Michael.
