The club is pleased to announce that seven athletes will be competing in this year’s English Schools Track & Field Championships in Gatesheadon Thursday & Friday July 10/11th. This is the highlight of the season for any young athlete who have to meet the qualifying standard for their event before they are even considered for selection. The athletes competing are,

Amelia Jennings- McLaughlin SG High Jump (Greater Manchester)
Jenny Pyatt IG Discus (Cheshire)
Tom Climpson JB Javelin (Lancashire)
Ed Latimer IB 400 metres (Lancashire)
Joe Milton IB 400 metres (Merseyside)

In addition Rosie Johnson who also achieved the qualifying standards in 1500m, will instead be competing in the Diamond League meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland on July 9th
