Lisa Gawthorne has now become the second Liverpool Pembroke athlete to be selected to represent Great Britain at this year’s World Duathlon Championships in Canada in August.
Lisa has only just returned from injury but she was determined to succeed when she travelled to Bedford aerodrome last weekend. Not only did she manage to finish in third place in her age category, but her time was 5min.54sec.faster than over the same course last year.
The Formby business woman who is use to jetting around the world, willnow join team mate Helen Sahgal on the trip to British Columbia.
