The Virgin London Marathon takes place on Sunday 24th April and the club is to receive ONE guaranteed entry for the race. If any paid up member is interested in this entry then please contact club secretary, Wally Bridson, BY 1st November. If there is more than one applicant, then a ballot will be held.

Sammy Rashid National Champion
After a couple of Park Runs in Sheffield in 17.40 and 17.59 Sammy Rashid went to Birmingham for the British Masters Track and Field Championships Over 50 10K. He ran an astonishing 34.23.88 to take the national title. He is rapidly achieving legendary status in the club`s history.
