Eight athletes selected for English Schools Championships

Liverpool Pembroke & Sefton have had eight athletes selected for their respective counties for this year’s English Schools Track & Field Championships to be held at Gateshead on the 8th & 9th July.
Representing Merseyside are Kai Finch, Owen Southern, Sadie McNulty (all high jump)& Rosie Johnson (800m). Three athletes will be competing for Lancashire, Lauren Lewis (long jump), Elliot Jones & Ed Latimer (both 100 metres). Jenny Pyatt (discus)is the sole representative for Cheshire.
This is a tremendous achievement and represents two years of hard work not only by the athletes themselves but also their coaches for getting them to this standard of competition.
Ray Twentyman,Trish Farrell, Eddie Bairstow, Mike Dandy, Dave Brown, Dave McComb & Billy Williams can now look forward to their athletes competing against the best in the country and hopefully returning with a medal or two.
