While the harriers were ploughing through the week-end mud the sprinters and jumpers were ensconced in the more hospitable surroundings of Sport City. There were a string of useful 200m performances, Danny Higham (23.16), Adam Thomson (22.76), Jesse Roberts (23.71), Andrew Williams (24.58), Rob Orkney (24.38) and Joe Milton (24.43). Joe`s time takes him into third spot in the new U15 UK rankings. Nathan Hilton chanced his luck at 600m and came away with the very good time and personal best of 1.21.15. Amelia McLaughlin had little problem with a 1.70m high jump, narrowly failing at 1.75m. However, this puts her firmly in second place in the national rankings. Young Hannah Wills went over 1.30m.
